Leveraging Backlinks For Fast Traffic

The Internet is a cluttered place. Millions of websites, billions of articles, and the same fifteen ads everywhere you look. How in the world can you get people to your website without launching a multimillion-dollar ad campaign? Simple: use backlinks.

Backlinks are links that you put out there on blogs, message boards, your own content, and so on that invite people back to your site. Backlinks are important for two reasons: (A) They allow people to find you; and (B) The more outside links point to your site, the more Google rewards you with higher placement in search results.

Backlinks are simple in concept, but they can be complicated to use. If you don't use them correctly, they can actually put you further down in Google!

1.) Provide backlinks on your social networking sites. This may seem to be a no-brainer, but many people feel iffy about doing it. Maybe it's because they want to keep business and friendship separate. That's fine. But instead of e-mailing that great new joke to your friends, why don't you post it on your website and then link over to it using a backlink from your Facebook wall? This allows it to spread across many pages quickly (no one has to e-mail it), pushes you up in Google, and drives traffic to your site. A word of caution: Don't do this constantly. And don't run around adding friends just to have the excuse of sending them links.

2.) Write articles on sites like eHow, Bukisa, HubPages, Xomba, and some of the many, many more out there. Then just give a quick link to your site. I do it all the time. People keep flooding into my website from all over the Internet, long after the work is done.

3.) Create a real win-win by linking to your articles. Sites like Digg, Propeller, and SheToldMe.com let you post snippets and a link. (Plus, SheToldMe shares ad revenue). Linking your articles over from these sites pushes them up in Google. By extension, your website goes up too.

4.) Make your website exceptional. As people learn about you, they talk about you! You'll start getting backlinks for free. Word of mouth is your most powerful advertising. People take what you say about your own site with a grain of salt-they're much more likely to believe someone else.

5.) Backlink when you comment on blogs, newspapers, and other sites. Some sites are open in their policy on this, and some are not. Consult the Terms of Use of every site. Places like Yahoo! message boards can be a great place to backlink. But don't simply comment for the purpose of giving yourself a link, and never spam message boards. You'll get people mad. Do it enough, and they may report you. Eventually, you could get delisted from the search engines.

Top 5 Internet Marketing Lies

Yes, there are lies floating around out there. This lies not only confuse people, they send people in the completely wrong direction and can even lose YOU money. Because of this, this article is about to tackle the top Internet Marketing fallacies out there.

Lie #1: You have to be a Computer Expert
People tend to think that you have to be some sort of "computer whiz" to succeed online. The truth of the matter is that as technology has improved, it has become easier and easier for the average person to build a website, develop content, build a business, and ultimately create huge success online.

If this were 1990's, I would probably be telling a different story. However, this is the age of SIMPLE technology. Anything that can be automated is being automated, and even the most difficult task are becoming much easier for someone with very little experience.
Website have become easy.
Content and writing has become easy.
Getting traffic has become easy.

Anything can be learned and anything can be taught. Some Affiliate Marketer have tought 1000's of people scared of technology how to succeed online, so we know it can be done. In fact, if you are reading this guide right now, you have more than enaugh computer skils!

Lie #2: Traffic Equal Sales

The funny thing is that most people's first instinct is to aim for as much traffic as they can. This is the wrong approach. Traffic does not equal sales...it simply means that people are coming to your web page.

Relevance equates to sales. You need to understand that the people coming to your site are just that, PEOPLE. They are not robots and if you do not deliver what they are looking for, you will be losing out on any apportunity to earn a commision.

Let's look at a quick example. Take the keyword "cat fish". Say you are promoting a guide on your web page or blog that will help people "make organic and healthy cat fish pallet food". Do you think the word "cat fish" would be the best search term to target? Is your page relevent? Well...it has the word "cat fish" in it, but the person doing the search could be looking for a "cat fish pond" for all you know. This leads to wasted traffic.

Affiliate Expert have had targeted keywords within the campaigns that only get 1 click per day, but convert every 3 clicks! 10 sales per month for 30 clicks is a pretty successful campaign... don't you think? Now imagine have 5, 10 or even 30 keywords like this! That is some huge commissions and is what million dollar marketers are made of!

Traffic does not equate to success. However, traffic PLUS Relevance leads to online success.

Lie #3: You Need Money to Make Money

This may apply to the stock market, but it does not apply to online business.
The Internet is the ONLY place, then there are free marketing techniques that cost nothing to implement! What a lot of people do is generate seed money using "free" techniques and then reinvest the money back into expanding their business. Some members create a full-time income using free techniques just because they don't like to risk money.

You can earn money online with a $0 advertising budget (Here become affiliate)!!!

Lie #4: The Online Opportunity is Shrinking

During the 2009 holiday season close to $38 BILLION DOLLARS will be spent online. In 2008, more than $36.6 Billion was spent online.

Here are the stats from online spending in 2008:
Money Spent Online: $132,000,000,000.00
Yearly Growth: 10%

Although this number is astronomical, it is STILL growing. 2009 will be higher and so will 2010! Imagine if you could earn just a small portion of this pie...you would be very successful. This is the "GROWING" opportunity that the Internet represents.

And the Opportunity continues to grow. People from all corners of the world are getting access to quicker broadband Internet. The world's middle class is also growing stronger. This equates to more people online spending more money...a huge benefit to us as Internet Marketers!

Lie #5: Money Grows on Trees!

Money does not grow on trees! In fact, most money is a blend of 25% cotton and 75% linen.

Marketing companies will tend to tell you can make $1 million dollars overnight and this is simply not the case. Anything that states you "get rich overnight", RUN AWAY FROM. You will never hear this out of the mouths.

If you are willing to put in the work, you can succeed. You likely work tirelessly at your day job...if only you invested a fraction of this energy into your own Internet business you would be very successful (and it would be way more gratifying)!

Getting rich in seconds is not yourself and your expectations and the money will follow.
There you have it, the 5 Most Common Internet Lies. Steer clear of any company that tries to tell you different as they are either trying to scare you or take money from you.

Choosing Domain Name

In the current business world, a business domain name is its identity and brand. The main thing is that customers must be able to identify your domain name and be in a position to know where to find it whenever they need to reach you.

Choosing a domain name or website address is one of the first important things you can do to establish your business' web presence. The domain name you choose must be at least two characters long and must not contain special symbols like @,# and $ among others. You will realize when searching for a domain name that the.com top level domain are scarce because it is the most common domain.

Factors to consider when choosing a domain name:

a) Keep the name simple, short and easy to remember - Complicated spellings and many words may be easy to find for a domain name but a potential customer may not remember your site.

b) Use a geographical top level domain - If you add a geographically assigned top level, you will not only stand a greater chance to find the right domain name you need, potential customers will also find your site easily using search engines.

c) Consider a name with geographical area of operations - This has similar advantages to adding a geographically friendly top domain name. For instance, if your business operates only in Malaysia and deals in software, you may consider using MYGameSoftware.com instead of gamesoftware.com.

d) Never invent words - Google has become successful, but it is not because they invented the word Google. Big companies get away with word invention because they have the resources and budget to market their word and educate the public about it. A small business cannot do this and instead will be seen as an irrelevant website.

e) Consider other alternatives other than .com - Most intuitive names are already registered under the.com top-level domain. However, you should consider searching other domain name extensions like .net and .biz if you cannot find a .com name.

f) Choose a premium domain - A premium domain is a pre-registered domain that comes back to the market for resale, especially if the previous owner fails to renew it. Premium domains range from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars depending on the revenue it generates and the kind of business.

When looking for a domain name, most domain name registrars and webhosting providers allow users to search for all top level domain names, for new domains and premium domains easily and free of charge from one drop down box.

Having the right domain name that customers can remember and associate it with your business will increase the traffic to your website and simplify the process of marketing the domain, both online and offline. A good online business entrepreneur knows that the more the traffic a website attracts the greater the sales it will sale. The first step in attracting the right traffic is having a domain name that speaks for you and your business.

How Not to Use Twitter for Affiliate Marketing

Making Money
Schedule your twitter : here
Get follower for your twitter : here

By Nathan Hangen

I need to get something out of the way...I am a Twitter fanatic. In fact, it would come as no surprise to me if my wife was spending every minute she has in order to learn how to become a hacker so that she could take it down and have her husband back (I'm really not that bad, but you get the idea).

So considering that fact that I spend a lot of my time learning how to master the art of Twitter marketing and that I've even created my own Twitter products, what I am about to say might be a little too close to the bone - even for me.

However, the truth is the truth and we can't hide from it: 99% of the affiliate marketers on Twitter have zero idea how to market correctly.

Furthermore, many of those that don't get it are teaching new users how not to get it too, leading to a cycle of spam, crappy auto-DM's, and accounts that get suspended or marked as spam before they have even had a chance to flourish.

If you want to sell an affiliate product on Twitter, you cannot expect to be able to do it in 140 characters, and yet, that's what many marketers try to do. Their Twitter streams are filled with blatant sales pitches, so much so that you start to wonder if there is a real person behind the curtain.

Look, if I don't know who you are, I don't know where you are linking to, and I don't see anything but pitches in your Twitter stream, then I am not going to click through. If I do, if you get lucky, you will see me hit the back button before the page even finishes loading.

You cannot take over someone's DM's (Direct Messages) and have them send out spam on your behalf. Aside from the fact that it is extremely annoying, it takes advantage of people that don't know any better. You are actually hurting your customer in the process. Hit-and-run business tactics are shameful and will not help you in the long run.

Creating a product that only teaches people how to make money on Twitter by promoting your "make money on Twitter" product is, well, just sad. Sure, you might make a few bucks, but what does that get you? Again, it is this type of short term thinking that turns Twitter into a madhouse and creates an environment where marketers are no longer trusted. At that point, you've ruined it for all of us.

Perhaps the most blatant offender is the reply spammer, which is relatively new to the scene. These people reply to popular Twitter users with an affiliate link, and try to trick people into clicking. These reply spammers also try to trick the popular person's followers, because at first glance, it looks like the Tweet is coming from them. Considering most of these tweets look identical, I simply click the block button and move on. Get blocked often enough and you'll be suspended.

So Why Are They Doing It?

Most affiliate marketers on Twitter are doing this because they are too lazy to learn how to effectively sell affiliate products. You shouldn't try to sell someone in a PPC ad; you bring them to your sales page so that your sales letter can do the selling. It's the same with Twitter. To do this, though, you've got to be relevant, which means that not everything you say can be a sales pitch. When it is, though, it has to address the needs of your list. Sending out blanket replies just doesn't work.

Sadly, many people buy systems that tell them that these methods work. To make matters worse, many of them use viral friend adders that help them get recognition and more marketers promoting their products. Eventually, regardless of how faulty the system is, it spreads like wildfire. Everyone gets caught, no one wins.

They aren't interested in helping people. The last category is comprised of marketers that use the same tactics in other venues. They use software to generate new accounts by the dozens, so they don't care if they get suspended. They aren't interested in helping people - they simply want to make an easy buck.

So How Do You Sell on Twitter?

I've written about this extensively because it is a matter that I am extremely passionate about. I am tired of shady marketers ruining it for everyone and more importantly, I'm tired of seeing new people get taken advantage of.

So here's the truth:
If you want to sell on Twitter, you have to build relationships and create targeted lists based on interests. Once you learn how to build these networks (which really is easy to do), you can link to relevant affiliate offers without having to worry about getting unfollowed or blocked. The key is to let the content, not a Tweet, do the selling. If everything you say on Twitter is a pitch of some sort, it won't work. However, if you learn to be relevant and helpful, your random pitch will not only be noticed, but will be appreciated.

People love to buy...we love to consume great content. However, we have to be warmed up before we do it. On social networks, it's the relationships that sell, not the message. It's really up to you, though. You can spam people and make a quick buck (maybe), or you can build credibility and build a successful business. In my opinion, taking the latter route is much more efficient.

Make Money With Blogging

What exactly is a "business blog?" Let me give you a simple answer to a simple question - it is a blog that talks about or describes a business! Now why on earth do you need a blog (of all things) to talk about your business? Think about it - what exactly is your website doing? Taking a walk? Doesn't it offer information about your business? Does it not have enough space for you to say everything you need to say to your customers? Okay, this is how it used to work. There was a time when it was a great idea for companies or businesses to have their own websites. They could put in all the information about their businesses, and that was considered sufficient.

But times have changed. We are now citizens of the 21st century and we need to stretch ourselves to meet the demands of living in modern times! These days, websites have become common. It seems like every person, place or thing owns a website! And what's more, websites are getting more and more interesting. They are competing more and more aggressively to get the attention of the customer or the potential customer. Businesses have invented many ways to grab the attention of their customers and draw them to their own websites. That's where the business blog comes in.

For the business, it's a great idea to own a blog, irrespective of whether you own a website or not! It does not cost any money to write a blog. Furthermore, businesses have discovered that the more you write about your business, the better chances you have of other people reading what you have written. And once you have grabbed the attention and interest of a reader this way, you can lure him to your website where you can give him more information and reasons for him to buy your product or service. That is why companies put up a business blog whenever possible. It is a great marketing technique and a great way to draw potential customers to your website.

Like everything else, a business blog also needs regular maintenance. You need to keep it updated regularly and make sure that your blog does not just carry outdated content. Make sure that it carries the most recent information about your company or business. By providing relevant details, news items and upcoming events at your business, you will be able to kindle the reader's interest and keep the user from going away to a different website or blog!

What else can you put in your business blog? Well, you can add a lot of things to make it more interesting to your readers or visitors. You can post photographs, messages, feedback from customers, videos, product specifications, prices, and almost anything else that you can think of. The important things to do is to keep as many blogs as possible so that more people will get to read them. That, in turn, will drive more visitors to your website, and that, ultimately, will bring you more customers and more money!
